Today's sign of the Apocalypse: 7-Eleven on St. Mark's Place now delivering

Not sure how long that sign has been up... didn't notice it earlier in the week... did not see a delivery sign on the 7-Eleven Bowery location... And what would you have delivered from a 7-Eleven?

Exactly. What are they going to deliver - beer and barf bags? How lazy can we get people - it's called a convenience store because it's conveniently located for you to GO TO... I think blood just leaked out of my ear just from the thought of all this. (Oh yeah - and THIS is really our East Village, right?)

What can a freaking 7-11 deliver?? A bottle of soda, chewing gum and canned soup? How could anyone buy enough stuff there to need delivery? Holy crap, this is ridiculous.

Excellent -- looking forward to delivery of their free coffee! Not sure what to tip delivery guy for free coffee though.

Refuse to set foot in those places. Who wants blue sludge in a BPA plastic cup!

Good Luck!

(TIP : Voters may perhaps be swayed with a post picturing 9thSt Bakery landlord with multiple, multi-colored arrows up their butts.)

@DrBop

Thank you. I'm honored.

This feels like the end of one era and the beginning of something else. Scary and exciting and now what? Well, I may never be up on this blog again, on any blog for that matter. Change, you gotta love it. I will continue to help illustrate photos, to point people by being pointed, the greatest job in the world. It’s just that from now on, I may be holding a different pointer.

Wow.
If we could find all the people who call 7-11 for delivery and immediately ship them out of manhattan, that would probably be an instant 10% benefit to the city.

I actually was in a pinch and needed some batteries last night. I didnt want to take my child out in the freezing cold, so I said I'll call the 711 and see if theyll deliver.

They were at my door within 10 minutes. It was not something I would often do, but I really do appreciate the friendly staff there.
