Threat of rain KOs tonight's free screening of 'Easy Rider' in Tompkins Square Park

Of course! Because it's a Thursday night!

Per the Films in Tompkins Facebook page:

UPDATE: Tonight's screening of EASY RIDER has been canceled due to bad weather. Films In Tompkins will resume as scheduled next Thursday with DRIVE.

Four out of five screenings now this summer have been cancelled due to rain.

Since it's not going to rain, you can go see "Ferris Bueller's Day off" at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

What a shock knee-quivering predictions of scary scary rain every night for past 10 days, never comes. Even if it did, it's called a rainout, you quit when the rain ACTUALLY COMES, yes turn off the projector and put it in the case. Afraid of rain, big sodas, cigarettes in bars, motorcyclists without helmets, thoughts in peoples heads. Good luck.

Anonymous 8:02,
Let me guess, you got a ticket recently for riding your motorcycle without a helmet?

It's official, summer weather in New York 'effing sucks!

Nothing like waiting 6 months for summer to arrive and then when it does, it rains half or more of the time.

My good buddy Roger Manning calls this "weather terrorism!!"

It was a NICE day yesterday -- we've done events in the park with a much larger chance of rain and it didn't come. What a bunch of wusses....

No Main Squeeze either. No one even arrived to start setting up.
