Mikey's Pet Shop mural neutered
Given the closure of Mikey's Pet Shop on Seventh Street near Avenue A last fall... it was inevitable that the Chico mural would one day vanish....

Oh my, Glamma — that's a perfect way to describe it...
Several of Chico's murals have been painted over in recent weeks. I wonder if he'll be back to do new ones or if this really is the end of an era...
Last week he helped create the plywood for that Korean/Jazz place opening on 4th... but this is just short-term...
Sad to see another Chico mural disappear.
In 2002 I shot a film on the street in front of the the pet shop, so the mural will live on in cinema.
