Police are looking for Andreas Robbins, a 25-year-old resident of Stuyvesant Town who was last seen on Monday leaving his apartment at 521 East 14th Street.
He is described as being 6’1” tall and thin, weighing 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He also has a prominent birthmark on the right side of his nose and tattoos on both shoulders and his right wrist. Robbins’ family said he may be wearing a grey herringbone dresscoat and a scarf.
Robbins’s parents Elsa Stamatopoulou and Bruce Robbins have also requested that anyone with information contact them at (212) 431-5872 or (917) 318-9707. Fliers have been posted at places Robbins frequents.
Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is also asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). You may also submit tips online.

Wait, Didn't another young , handsome man disappear Sunday on 12 th and 3rd? Could there be a connection? Bad batch of something, or on a more positive note, they met and took a plane to Paris?
I just read the full story on both missing men, both smart, handsome from families that care about them. Both also battling depression.
So we spend however much to over police a peaceful protest and recently (sounds like assberg) cut the mental health budget.
Genius.

fathers comment was against police, not against protests..... this dad has enough problems already, don't try to make a story out of it. Let's hope that they will find their beautiful son!

Seems the key elements to readers here are 1- that the missing men are handsome, and 2- that it's an opportunity the bash the NYPD.

Not for nothing, but how much attention do the police normally give to cases like this? Seems like a well-placed soundbite by the NYPD to take a dig at the protesters. I hope this guy returns home safely.

"a well-placed soundbite by the NYPD to take a dig at the protesters"??? Really. Or perhaps a well-placed sound-bite by the family of a missing person to take a dig at the fact that they did not think the police were paying sufficient attention to their particular issue.
The quote from the Daily Mail reads:
"A father was left speechless after police told him they are 'too busy' dealing with Eric Garner protests to search for his suicidal son."
That sounds like the police taking a dig at the protesters. The police resources pulled to cover the peaceful protesters are a bit much. They can't put the rest of the city on hold. People like this family need their help.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I sincerely hope this young man is found safe, sound, and soon. Such a terrible thing, not to know; my prayers to the family.
Seriously? The Daily Mail? not exactly a beacon of journalistic accuracy.
I hope both of the men who have gone missing in the East Village in recent weeks are found safe and sound. I feel for the families and friends of both men.

The person you're arguing with has stated the he/she hopes this young man returns home safely and the police aren't doing enough. You seem to agree with both of those points so what's your problem?
Well if the police are too busy, maybe our community can keep the faces of Brandyn and Andreas visible. Re post on Facebook,twitter. Prayers to both families.
And Grieve, can we follow up? I just went back to all missing person posts from EVG and I want to know what happened to the guy suing his landlord b/c of getting hit by a falling ac? And the others from the past, this kind of thing keeps me up at night!
Many other blogs are now starting to ban posts from people who want to make everything into a political issue. Way too many comment sections are turning into battles between these keyboard warriors and it's messing up the comments area for everyone else. Maybe it's time to EV Grieve to actually do some of the 'censoring" he is so often accused of doing?
