Astor Plate now open on Astor Place

The food-and-drink kiosk made its debut on Saturday. As previously reported, the kiosk offers a variety of salads, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies ... as well as Mud Coffee (to make up for the loss of the Mud Truck). You can find the menu here.

Will update with hours when that info is available.

CB3 should review licenses to sell avocado toast.

Glad to see Mud Coffee™ being sold back on Astor Place, but I'm going to need to get another tetanus shot 💉before buying anything from that rusty looking kiosk.

A banana there costs $1.19. Just down the street at the fruit stand next to the Death Star it's 25 cents.

I don't know how they are allowed to put a food vendor in such close proximity to another building especially with a glass front. It's food. There's cooking. There are accidents! There's fire!! There could be explosions!!! How dumb is this?!!! But then again it's the Village Alliance. And MONEY. BOYCOTT. BOYCOTT. BOYCOTT!

Will not be spending even a single cent at this rust-o-rama insult to our neighborhood.

Is a banana really 1.19 there? I thought the fucking city regulated prices at things like this.
I do like what it looks like - subtle, low-key, old. Unlike a glass Cemusa shack.
But if that banana price is any indication, that's some bullshit.

I have to agree. This is a butt-ugly out-of-place eyesore.

That thing is the definition of a rust bucket.
I won't eat from a rust bucket.
