Becky's Bites opens today at 122 E Seventh St. between Avenue A and First Avenue.
According to the shop's Facebook page: "Becky offers a range of novel cream cheese based bites from bagels & parfaits to tiny tarts & cookie sandwiches."
Here's a copy of the Becky's menu...
Meanwhile, over on First Avenue between St. Mark's Place and Ninth Street...
Stuffed Ice Cream opens tomorrow...

... and they specialize in doughnut-ice-cream sandwiches called cruffs... ("NYC's First Cruff," per Stuffed's Instagram account)...

I'm sick already.
I am absolutely disgusted.
Has anybody seen my binky?
Seriously, I feel like I'm back in nursery school, what with all this "food" for toddlers infesting the neighborhood.
Come on. Enough with the negativity and petulance. Let's welcome this new venture into our community. I. for one, can't wait to try what they have. What a cool concept!
This stuff is for tourists, those starting a "lifestyle" blog with 8 followers after one year, another photo-op and selfie magnet. Good luck folks and I mean it but recent history for the life span of frozen whatever... I don't like the odds.
W need a Frozen Ratsicle Shop in the nieghborhood,
I'll try Becky's. The cruff doesn't appeal to me personally.
I agree that there's lots of kiddie food in the EV and stuffed ice cream is not my thing, but it's what working-class adults in Palermo, Sicily commonly eat for breakfast. (I preferred arancina stuffed with sausage for breakfast instead.)
America has the worst obesity problem in the world. There are like 30+ dessert crap gimme-gimme-gimmick spots in the 'hood at this point. I give them all less than a year, but I guess it's all about make the money and run.
Ice cream, marshmallows, stuffed-whatevers, cupcakes, cookies (or whatever masquerades as a cookie)...all this junk food taking over the hood. I'm a diabetic (had it since I was a little kid) and can't eat any of this stuff. In a way, it's a good thing since I end up eating less and not spending any money. In the end, I'll probably be the healthiest one around. With the future of healthcare in question, people really should be more concerned about health now.
Becky's Bites and SICNYC better not pull a Jane's Buns.
Will they have private events of intimate evenings of pairing these with La Croix? Pomelo and coconut would be ideal.
It bites that Bloomberg and De Blasio wanted and wants a Soda Ban. But where's the ban on these sugary dessert stores? SIC[k) of it.
If the bagels are good, Becky's will do well.
Its simple. If you don't want cheesecake or sweets or even bagels, don't eat it. For those of us who do, don't shame us. It's food. Everything is a choice. And I wish this place the best success. Have a good night.
Dear me. No one is shaming you. Eat all you want.
The line outside of Stuffed Ice Cream was insane on Saturday night. In other news, diabetes rates in the East Village have suddenly doubled.
