Just the dog run is closed I believe, as are all dog runs across the city to help people maintain good social distancing.
The central lawn has become the new dog run. Despite the gates being locked and signs saying No Dogs, people are jumping the fence and putting their dogs in there. Heard one dog owner yesterday encouraging another to jump over the fence, saying "No one cares if your dog is off leash!" People clustering in there as they did before. I'm also seeing people letting their dogs run in the flower beds. Animals. And I don't mean the dogs.
Who!s Park Our Park
I saw a reconstituted dog run by the Samuel Cox statue. The most disturbing part was the way people were socializing. A clear sense of mutual immunity from what I could see.
Yes, the 7th street side of the park now always has people with their unleashed dogs
