Store for rent in the Copper Building

2 Cooper Square isn't the only new East Village condo that will feature retail space... "store for rent" signs have now gone at the Copper Building on Avenue B at 13th Street...

No info just yet on pricing and what not for the space... the original listing didn't mention anything about retail space...

The Copper Crapper! I despise that monstrosity! I hope that store and every unit in that Copper Crapper stays vacant forever! That monstrosity has ruined what is a wonderful real New York block. May the developers lose every last penny and then some more. Just the thiought at looking at more Trust Fund Brats, Yuppie Scum and NYU Piglets mingling there makes me retch. At least, living next door, I don't have to look at when I'm in my apartment - except for my boarded up kitchen window which once gave me a most delightful view down Ave B. May the Copper Crapper collapse into a gianyt flushing hole of its own CRAP!

Copper Crapper - You have a most eloquent and winning way with words, and I agree with every one of yours. Could that thing be more of an eyesore if it tried?

given the rent they will probably charge there, nothing of value to the residents will arise here.

I love the 'Copper Crapper' name and hope that is how it will appear on maps.

Walking down Ave B the other day, I overheard a couple pause on the corner, look up and say, "Well, THAT sticks out like a sore thumb!" Indeed.
