Another chance to Zumba on the open streets of Avenue B this afternoon
The Loisaida Open Streets Community Coalition is hosting two Zumba sessions this afternoon on Avenue B between Ninth Street and 10th Street... there's a low-impact version at 1 p.m. followed by an all-level session at 2 p.m.

Is there a compelling reason these events need to happen in the street when we have a large and lovely park steps away?
The park is packed. People yearning for outdoor space and there’s not enough of it in the neighborhood. The playgrounds at Tompkins Square park and at Sauer Park are way over capacity. The grand lawn at the park is full of people. The Zumba class today was next to park cars that hardly move. One of them has been parked at the same spot since January 12th at least.

Aaah sorry I missed this! I hope they'll do it again.
