EV Grieve reader (and blogger) Shawn Chittle notes the new MTA iPhone app for the East Village/Lower East Side ... As he points out, Avenue C is missing (sorry World Cuppers!) and Avenue D is apparently now subbing for the FDR...
In the comments, BabyDave points out the rather interesting new route for the Bowery....
It's also a pretty interesting take on the Bowery. But at least all the subway stops seem to be there.
If only someone could figure out a way to make it clear to people that no, you can not transfer from the uptown 6 at Bleecker Street to the B, D, or F. (I realize this will change, but I am guessing not for a couple more years.)

We love tips
Have a story idea or tip about something happening in the East Village? Or maybe a photo? Or several photos? Or video! We'd love to hear about it. Or see it. Or something. Please go here to submit a tip.
By the way
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

Ha! I didn't even notice the Bowery on first glance...
Aw who needs Avenue C anyway, it's overrated. Besides, if it's not there, the total bar population plunges!
Looks like they erased all of the noisy bars on upper Avenue A *and* all the people who complain about them. If only CB3 were so efficient.
Too bad I can't stand the way the new map looks are the farce they call the Orange M.
