A new look for the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and East 13th Street

We noted yesterday that changes were coming to the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue at East 13th Street ... the Young Chow Restaurant has already moved out... and the Blimpie/Lite Choice is next ...

Meanwhile, a tipster sent along the above listing for the corner... showing that the spaces will be combined ... the example in the rendering: Walgreens! Maybe not a bad idea — there's isn't a Walgreens within less of a block from here! Oh, read the comments — apparently the Walgreens is for real.

As for the rent at this location — it's upon request.

"Is that where God is hiding Claire? In the medicine cabinet? There ain't nothing in there but tampons and aspirin. That's the closest thing you're going to get to comfort in this life."

Hi Grieve . That Wallgreens rendering is NOT an example. They've already claimed the entire 2nd floor.

@BagelGuy

No way! There's already one on the fucking corner of 14th and 4th! (Not to mention the world's largest Duane Reade around the corner...)

Wow.

Obviously Walgreens is moving out of the 14th street spot. Makes sense. That location is surely very expensive and every time I am in there it seems kind of dead and depressing, especially compared to the Duane Reade "superstore" a few steps east.

The Walgreen's just underwent an extensive renovation, which included adding a whole second floor where there had previously been none. Why on earth would they move after all that?!?

Wow... what would take their newly renovated spot at 14th and 4th?

A Full City Block of Wall Greens is better in their view than a Green Wall.
