Hot tar for a hot night
Resurfacing First Avenue tonight (and tomorrow night...)... some day soon they'll be a bike lane along here...and new bus-only lanes for the M15...

whew, my ass was getting tired of riding up cooper square.
Around 8pm, 1st Ave was totally insane. The traffic was so backed up, buses were turning (trying) down 5th St to get to 2nd Ave. And the heat...my god, I thought I'd entered Mordor.
What a mess. As one friend noted last night: It's like living on the edge of the mouth of Hell.
I love the photo of the whirling dervish.
