Post explores the complicated relationship of Dora, Christo and Nora/Not-Dora

Among the one-liners:

• "A cheep slut has come between a hawk and her hubby."

• "The three lovers met beak-to-beak in the center of the park, where the plumage hit the fan."

• "To some bird watchers, Nora is nothing more than a rust-colored nest-wrecker."

Here's the article, which includes quotes and photos from Goggla.

Heh. The Post put this story on the cover...

I blame Christo. Typical faithless man, running after the first feathered floozy who flutters her pinions at him, Claw her face off, Dora!

The story actually made the front page of the printed edition of the NY Post in color: https://nypost.com/cover/covers-for-march-4-2018/. Regardless of the "cheep" puns degrading the article, perhaps this media attention will bring some new bird lovers to the park and more readers to the most excellent websites of Laura Goggin: http://www.gogginphotography.com and EV Grieve http://evgrieve.com. Also excellent coverage of the hawks here: https://www.instagram.com/leshawks/ and here: https://www.instagram.com/evstevienyc/

Opie the Opossum should demand equal time and get his own column in The Daily News.

Or at least a mention on Page 6 for Opie.

@Masters

Pretty messed up that the Post didn't give credit where it was due since they chose to slap it on the cover. And hawks don't go "cheep" in the first place.

Sure it was wrong for Christo to stray like that, but birds gotta have it.

This is a lot better than reading about Trump's infidelities. Although both Christo and Trump are birds of a feather and are feathering their respective nests at the expense of their birds.

Why didn't the reporter credit Grieve?

Thanks Christine! I'm glad that Laura's part of the story given her tireless (and excellent!) work documenting the hawks... And I really appreciate Steven's dispatches and photos from the Park...
