Former AAA Amici Pizza space for lease on 3rd Avenue; no coffee, Chinese food, sushi or burgers

AAA Amici Pizza on Third Avenue at East 12th Street closed last July. At the time, EVG regular Muzz talked to the owner, who said that the pizzeria was rent-hiked out of there.

The Newmark Grubb Knight Frank listing has the asking rent at $21,000 per month for the 1,600 square feet of space.

Description
Vented Corner for Lease. HOT NYU / UNION SQUARE AREA.

NO COFFEE. NO CHINESE FOOD. NO SUSHI. NO BURGERS.

And dreams of a coffee-Chinese food-Burger-sushi bar are squashed.

Oh good ANOTHER bar. The East Village is turning into Pottersville.

Huh. I can understand why the landlord doesn't want a coffee shop, sushi or burger joint because the area's already saturated with them - but Chinese food? That one's kinda outta left field to me

@8:55

Han Dynasty literally just opened up next door. Two Chinese foor places next door to each other is probably unnecessary.

But I am sure alcohol will be just fine.

Maybe Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is holding out for a Walmart.

Yet, two to three to five+ bars next to each other is probably ok and necessary.

How about, Thai, Mexican, Filipino, or Indian Food? Are those ok? Or a nail salon. I suppose Duane Reade can't open there either since they sell sushi.

One day, all these legal obstacles to my Lo Mein Sashimi Burger franchise concept will be removed, and you'll see I was right all along.

(P.S.: free coffee for the first hundred customers!)

Look guys, it's either bars or back to the days of crack houses and shooting galleries. You choose. Those are the only options for the East Village.
