Not really cool … even though Gelato Ti Amo here between East Fourth Street and East Third Street has not been open ... perhaps it's weather related. (A call to the shop goes unanswered.)
They told me in Jan they were only open on weekends. Unfortunately, their gelato must be served fresh, so I will look forward for them to return to normal hours and fresh stock.
Gelato ti Amo is open on the weekend.I leave on 6th street and second avenue. Its my favorite gelato place in the city. I spoke to the owner of gelato ti amo on Sunday, he told me that they will reopen everyday as soon as the weather will get better.I asked him if he is bothered that red mango is opening next to him, he seemed cool about it.

I can't.
Gelato place has been closed for like a month. Winter break? That's a lot of rent to be paying absentee.

Smash it up in the middle of the night. Problem solved.
Smash it up! I feel like listening to The Damned right now!
it looks like the width of the sign is way too long for the shop?
I like the way it looks on the ground, it's a nice change! shouldn't block the door tho.
In other frozen treat related news, didn't the fro-yo place on Ave A (4th-5th) close?
Answer: The building is part of the new-ish East Village landmarked district. They're not allowed to hang the sign.
