Photos of yesterday's East Village Bodega Walk
Yesterday, , as part of the ongoing No 7-Eleven movement, a handful of residents gathered on Avenue A and East 11th Street for a walking tour of nearby delis.
A chain-wearing Bob Holman, founder of the Bowery Poetry Club, led the walk... Shawn Chittle was along to take these photos.

These chains of a-love got a hold on me.....
Congrats everyone.....keep on chooglin'!
Thank you to everyone who showed up for the Bodega Walk. The walking - and the chanting! - was a lot of fun! We started off with about 20 people and had 40+ by the end. A lot of businesses and locals had no idea 100 more 7-Elevens are planned for Manhattan by 2017! Details on the next walk coming soon!
Can someone publish the chants? I was in hysterics the entire time. Bob Holman is a genius. "No trite chants!"
Sorry I missed it.
P.S. The black-and white is terrific.
