Mystery surrounds faceless cartoon mural on East 12th Street

On East 12th Street near First Avenue.

Last week! (Above!)

Yesterday!

A source will only reveal that the mural will be of a "beloved bald cartoon character."

Well, Ziggy is too short… so it has to be Henry, right?

Updated: Thanks to everyone who confirmed this is the work of street artist Jerkface.

Henry! I loved those comics when I was a kid. I still remember one of them:

Henry's friends's mother, as Henry is leaving: We'd love to see more of you, Henry.

Henry: This is all of me that there is!

Well, Donald Duck has literally no hair on his head.

The artist broke his ankle jumping off the fence on to the sidewalk so it may be awhile until he finishes it. Also artist is known for using well known characters in his art but with a twist relying on 1st A to avoid copyright claims. Given it's not for commercial purposes, he can.

This is the building which is having an entire gut renovation (new owners I assume). EV Grieve I believe has not posted anything about this building yet. "hint"

It's Mr. Magoo. Or Elmer Fudd. Or Popeye. Or Homer Simpson. Or Lady Gaga 2015!

Anyway, Metlife ownsthe rights to that mystery cartoon, so it could be more of an ad and billboard more so than a mural.

Are you sure the artist didn't hurt his leg when Lucy pulled away the football?

Incarcerated jerkface is the artist. That's how it's supposed to look when finished.
