According to Bowery Boogie, The General on the Bowery will soon be crossed off the EV Deathwatch List. Even their $21 cocktails, $8 coronas, Chinese Chicken Tacos, Bourbon Miso Chilean Seabass and a Top Chef season 3 winner couldn't save them from being turned into yet another Duane Reade.
All the Bowery needs now is a Starbucks, a couple of Dunkin' Donuts and a dozen bank branches and the transformation will be complete.
