Out East has been dark the last two nights during announced business hours here on Sixth Street between Avenue A and Avenue B, a curious development given that this is traditionally a busy holiday period for restaurants.
There's nothing to note a temporary closure on the front door or on their website or social media properties.

Out East opened back in the spring. The operators of the two-level, 124-seat seafood-centric restaurant here have been involved with hotspots such as Beauty & Essex and Stanton Social.
OpenTable shows that reservations aren't available at Out East until Jan. 13.

Probably some automated IG post, by a crack team of millennials working at a social media pr company. Who knows whats going on, all these new smartly built out restaurants market themselves as chill, laid back, and want to create regulars, but their prices and portions are way more special occasion.
Restaurant owners will eventually discover that even in the new EV there is not an infinite amount of money.
That place sucked the big one. Why open a restaurant like that in the East Village? Maybe on the UES.
sorry, but this makes me happy. We don't need destination, restauranteur bullshit on our side streets. Beaty and Essex and Stanton social are NJ douche attracting shitshows.
