Regarding Henri

We're officially on storm watch, as this random photo from First Avenue and Sixth Street doesn't really show.

As of 11 a.m., Henri is now a hurricane, and warnings have been issued for parts of Long Island, Connecticut and Rhode Island... In NYC, we're under a tropical storm warning... with strong winds and heavy rains arriving overnight... Gothamist has a nice recap of all this here

This reminds me of the day before Hurricane Sandy hit. I was walking through Union Square and heard people saying they didn’t think it was going to be any big deal and they didn’t believe the weather reports. Hurricane Sandy was a category one. Hurricane Henri is also a category one and is headed straight for somewhere between Fire Island and the Hamptons. New York doesn’t get a direct hit by a hurricane very often, but when it does it’s pretty bad. Let’s hope the storm surge isn’t as bad as Sandy, but the forecast isn’t looking too good right now, the moon is full tomorrow, and the storm comes In at high tide. Get ready.

Maybe the storm will blow the full moon away. I for one am tired of this lazy azz moon doing nothing, just hanging around, rolling back and forth never moving forward, its draining. It just goes in circles like a confused person trying to fight gravity. The moon needs to retire or get a job somewhere else. Furthermore, the moon hasn't announced its pronouns. Boooo.
