A Healthy Deli for 1st Avenue

Another day, another new deli!

Signage is up now at 158 First Ave. between Ninth Street and 10th Street for Healthy Deli. (Thanks to Steven for the photo!)

--

Update! Wait! Per the comments, that looks like "Heathily"

--

The incoming shop will offer a variety of organic products, fresh juices, salads, etc. — similar to some of the other delis that have opened along Avenue A and at First Avenue and Ninth Street. And First Avenue and Seventh Street

First Avenue did lose two corner markets during the pandemic — on the SE corner of 10th Street and the SE corner of 12th Street.

No. 158 was previously the spa Yu's on First.

Does that sign say Heathily? And if so, is it a typo?

Lol another one? I have feeling g they are all owned by the same person. They all look identical.

How do so many delis not spell check their signs before getting them produced?! So sloppy

Too many delis too little time

They all apparently buy their signage from a place in Queens. I was talking to someone from the former 10th street about it once. That's why they all have the same exact menu, and rarely have 50% of what is printed on it.

Hopefully this one is better than the one directly across the street where the Bean was. The bar is so low these days.

Seriously, why so many new delis. And why do they all have ugly, irritating signage?

Didn’t think I’d see the day EV grumps would be against deli’s and bodegas…

Hahahhahaha!!!

There is clearly an "L" between the "A" and the "T". Looks correct to me.

@1:58 HELLO...it's the I between the H and the Y!!!

So the EVGrumps complain when store fronts go empty, they complain when bodegas close down, but then they also complain when new bodegas open?!

I guess that's how the old saying goes: you can please none of the Grumps any of the time
