Love it or hate it, it has become an icon of the EV. Welcome back. We have three major sculptures in the EV.....the Alamo (The Cube) by Rosenthal, Red Rabbit by Koons in the lobby of the IBM and the Self-Portrait by Haring. You could not have three more different works from three different movements in just 100 feet from one another unless you were in a museum setting. Kudos for the EV.
I remember seeing Keith Haring's work on the Subway when I was young. His was a big loss.
Corporate art gives birth to corporate gentrification. Safe, kid friendly and meaningless or anti-suit proof.
