This is what Second Avenue and Houston looked like on Jan. 7, 2012

This year, we'll post photos like this of various buildings, streetscenes, etc., to capture them as they looked at this time and place... The photos may not be the most telling now, but they likely will be one day...

This is a good idea. The photo will come in useful when we have to gather for our online memorial. :(

Love this idea, can't go wrong with documentation!

I've taken to taking short videos of streets/intersections. Even just ten seconds shows the buildings and traffic enough to create a time capsule. I'm sad when I do it, but some day, these bits could be strung together into something...

I really like that idea, Goggla.

I started doing that at bars. 60 seconds at various places. Maybe 8 in total. Just background. Sort of aimed out a window. Capturing the background sound, the street life. Of course, now I can't find the videos anywhere. But I do have one from the Mars Bar.

@Grieve - that could make for an interesting documentary.

I've got many videos from Mars, taken on the sly...must wait for all involved to pass on before releasing to the public... ;)
