The police are looking for a male who committed a sexual assault at 70 E. 7 th St, there is a level 1 mobilization to find him:
@NYCityAlerts: Manhattan: 70 East 7th St & 1st Ave. NYPD on scene of a sexual assault, male perp fled the scene. Level 1 mobilization called in regards.
I wonder if it's the guy who reportedly tried to do it to a woman ON THE SUBWAY yesterday afternoon?
And if @nycalerts would provide the DESCRIPTION of the guy you'd have everyone in the area on alert. But instead, well, you know...
Kinda like when the East Villager published a photo of Christine Quim handing out flyers warning of the serial rapist, instead of publishing the artist sketch or police photo of the guy.
Unfortunately this is usually political correctness gone crazy...
Do not want to give a sketch or description....
What time did the assault occur?
I live here. The cops just keeping saying it's an on-going investigation but can't give out info (though there's a guy from the press trying to stop people for their "reactions"). Bad news. My thoughts are with her.
The bros and woos in my building have a bad habit of letting in anyone who buzzes. I wonder if that's what happened here... somebody buzzed in a random person and this sicko attacked someone.
Just because there is a 7-11 on Ave A and two Starbucks on 1st Ave it does not mean we are living in the burbs. Everyone new to the EV needs to keep the radar on, pay attention to who is around you and put away your goddamn phone once in a while.
I live two doors down, saw the cops at 8am and just now when I returned, sorry/sick to read. No description yet?
Oddly last night I noticed a new tag/graffiti on my door I didn't remember seeing last night when I cam in "HARLEM or HAREM".
I actually just told the office watching the scene there that this I believe new graffiti (tag says HARLEM) on the door two doors down wasn't there at 11pm last night but was this morning. Its random but thought worth telling.
Maybe they should check out the homeless shelters in the east village since they have the largest concentration of sex offenders in the city. Oops I guess I shouldn't have said that since it might offend somebody. The truth usually does.
9:25, Im not offended by your ignorance, but every shelter ive volunteered at has lock in hours and 4am would be impossible for a person using the shelters downtown.
