Yay! I have to say there is something terribly sad in the outpouring of active support for a DOG, and nearly none expressed to find a missing man! Dog people. Ready to do ANYTHING for man's best friend but near none for man?
I tried to post a simular comment and it was rejected. Why? Its true that a lost dog got more attention than a man with down syndrome. When will those who think everyone else is the problem look in the mirror? SMH

People who indignantly demand to know why anyone cares more about animals than people just reinforce my love for animals over people.
I am relieved to hear Chuckie is safe.
Message to the hysterical: People who don't know people with Down Syndrome make a lot of stupid assumptions about their ability to take care of themselves. Sure, they need some help, and some live in assisted living facilities, but they are also perfectly capable of working, using public transportation, interacting with other human beings and living normal lives!
