NYPD searching for man who exposed himself in Tompkins Square Park

Last week, we wrote about a man who was seen exposing himself in Tompkins Square Park near the children's playground.

One reader said the man is known in the Park and was spotted rubbing his genitals in front of two women last fall. (See this post.)

The NYPD is now seeking info on the suspect... the 9th Precinct tweeted this yesterday morning...

He was last seen carrying his pants and wearing red lipstick on First Avenue at 13th Street.

Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). You may also submit tips online.

Perhaps this man should wear a Santa costume then he will be able to expose himself and get away with it.

Dig that action pose!

Last week article said someone report the perv to a passing cop and the cop said they had to go to the precinct to report it. NOW the cops are interested in finding the perv. What a joke.

Check!

Keep your pants on everybody, at least he isn’t having Hope Hicks steam his pants while he is still wearing them.

Apologies for any latent self-promotion, but I highlighted this story on my blog if anyone is interested.

Maybe they did go and report it and now the brave folks at the 9th can take action. Cause you know, that's the law. More cop bashing.

Groping and or exposing your stuff is rude and anti-social but hardly worth calling for a manhunt. My dad was a cop and he told me those that live on the other side of the law alway repeat until apprehended. I still think this guy has mental health issues but perhaps he will get help, back on his medication and stop freaking out moms.

Poor guy... this look might be the new raincoat: black shorts, black hoodie, I can see it catching on

Have they checked the men's shelter?

I doubt the guy is out without his pants in this weather. But I guess it was too easy to catch him when the weather was warmer and he was out & about without being fully dressed.

There is a clear lesson to be learned here: the 9th precinct can be pushed to act when social media pressure is exerted, likely prompting a call from city hall to the precinct commander.

Crazy doesn't acknowledge the weather
