Red Pepper has apparently closed

Several weeks ago, a notice appeared outside Red Pepper saying that they are temporarily closed for "mandatory repairs" in the building…

Now there's a for rent sign outside ... marking the end of the Sichuan restaurant that opened last September at 324 E. Sixth St. between First Avenue and Second Avenue.

The appropriate use for this space is a spa or a haberdashery. Get the fucking restaurants out of the residential buildings. All of them, every single one.

Maybe they couldn't compete with the very popular Hot Kitchen, also Sichuan, around the corner.

Can someone please find out what the benefit is of hanging a sign pretending you are returning when you close down? It's so common, there must be more to it than wishful thinking. That piggy place just did the same thing. Inquiring minds want to know etc etc
