The Dessert Kitchen opens on St. Mark's Place
The Dessert Kitchen is up and running (in soft-open mode) at 94 St. Mark's Place between Avenue A and First Avenue.
They serve "homemade Asian-fusion-styled desserts from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan," per their Facebook page.(Menu here.)
The Dessert Kitchen was previously over at 192 Bleecker St. near Sixth Avenue. I do not know the circumstances behind the closure there and move here.
This space on St. Mark's adjacent to Fun City Tattoo was previously a residence. Workers converted it into a storefront back in the late winter and early spring.

I know nobody is forcing me to eat ice cream when I walk by the abundant frozen dessert places in our nab these days but some retail diversity would be preferable. I know people will say "what's wrong with ice cream" or something like "they have the best blah...blah..." but seriously the EV has turned into a tourists destination.
I wsnt an old fashioned ice cream soda..where can I get one in the EV or beyond?
I'd say that trends in food and style are the same that they've always been and 5-10 years from now it will change. What's different is that we now have social media available out our finger tips to complain about every, single, little, thing. Over and over.
