EV Grieve reader Joe passes along these photos from outside the deli on First Avenue at East 10th Street this morning ... Police on the scene declined to discuss what happened. Joe said that there were "a bunch of cops inside."

I live next door and would like to know some more details if anyone has any. I remember something similar happened a few months ago, possibly over the summer, where there was a swarm of cops in the deli. No one would talk about what happened and the cops just waved me off when I asked.
Add a question mark to your crime scene headline. Without any info you don't know whether it was a robbery or just sale of alcohol to minors or some other infraction.
i learned how to roll a joint on the steps just around the corner on the 10th street side back in the early 90s. dime bags were so plentiful. one of the guys told me to roll one up to prove it was good and when i told him i didn't know how to roll one. he looked so disappointed in/for me and said, 'aw man, that ain't right' and sat me right down on the step and showed me the way.

Does anyone remember what East 10th & First was like in the early 80s? It was the busiest intersection in New Jersey and Long Island.

I don't know what planet you live on, but ALL of the above mentioned are crimes in NYC.
If they are securing the scene, some type of criminal activity took place.
EV Grieve is not Fox News or CNN!

@Shawn-
thats one of my favorite Daily show bits - Is Grieve a terrorist?? Like its ok to say anything if you put a question mark at the end.
I prob shouldnt joke like that since haveas corpus has been rescinded. New blog, Gitmo Grieve.
@Hey19
Ha!
Oh, and may I have your home address? My lawyer needs to send over some documents. Thanks!
Last one I promise:
Gitmo has changed man. Used to be mostly immigrants, now it looks like a j crew sample sale.
