Wow. EVG reader Mark White spotted this yesterday on East Second Street between Avenue A and Avenue B. And we saw it with our own
Likely a record for waiting to toss out a tree.
And how did this conversation go down?
Let's go buy a Christmas tree today.
Great, but let's throw out last year's tree first...

Holy Mother MaChree! What does Gruber have to say about this?
Yo quiero orinar en un árbol de Navidad.
This is what happens when you ignore the effects of global warming, even brand new Chistmas trees don't stand a chance.
i think that is a new (this year's) tree.
I-)
I hope that puppy's gettin' scale for that (suspiciously) PERFECT cameo.
Nice touch!
I actually have lived in that building for a long time and no one in the building knows where the tree came from. It looks extremely dried out which suggests it was left over from years gone but. But where was it stored all this time? Even weirder if you look carefully someone has very carefully cut/pruned off the ends of all the branches with some secaturs. Not sure what anyone could make out of a couple of dozen ends of Xmas tree branches. Any ideas?
...someone probably put it in a storage space last January with the express purpose of getting famous here on EVG.
It probably get electrocuted by ConEd's free holiday electricity giveaway program.
