The NYPD has released information about a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery on an elevator last Saturday afternoon.
According to the NYPD, the man followed a 44-year-old woman into an elevator on First Avenue and Third Street (presumably Village View). As the doors closed, the man pulled out what looks like a screwdriver and demanded her wallet.
He reportedly took $100 from the wallet and handed it back to the woman.

The good news is that both of their cellphones were turned on, which will enable the cops to easily use the location data to put them at the scene of the crime. At least they were wearing masks, which is more than I can say for the thousands of anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers protesting in London and Berlin today.
Yeah, nothing like a #safethief.
I suspect covid safety may not have been the mask wearing impulse.
yes it happened in village view been a couple incidents reported on an internel email and letters to our doors
Need better security
Agree with Pattytv. Am noticing that masks are being used to commit crime in the guise of following the Covid-19 safety measure mandate.
Twisted part is, when I, wearing a mask, enter a business establishment, I am followed around or treated with suspicion.
As all real New Yorkers know, public safety and health are always a top concern among muggers. That’s what they always wipe down their knives and guns after using them. Safety first!
