According to published reports (the Post, NBC 4, Daily News, etc.), the man, dressed in a vest and suit jacket, flashed a gun at the clerk around 9:15 p.m.

All calls are strictly confidential.Police say the suspect first asked about some products before showing the store worker a pistol and threatening to kill him.
The suspect stole the employee's phone and headphones along with about $700 from the register, police said.
The suspect is described as approximately 6-2, with a light complexion, thin build, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black facemask, a dark dress jacket, a gray dress vest, a white dress shirt, gray pants and black shoes.

Crime has gotten so casual. I confess: It's pissing me off.
The store was also broken into earlier last week. The glass door was smashed in overnight. Cops were there the following morning to take a report.The store does not have a security gate.

The casual attitude of the criminal is just amazing. Watching the video if he hadn't had a gun it would seem rather like he was asking about the weather. Unreal. Such balls. Glad nobody was hurt.

On top of the criminal activity that this shop has to deal with, their landlord is Icon Realty, one of the worst slumlords in the East Village, also criminal activity.
If I read the memo right, this would be considered petty larceny by the new DA, no jail.
