Because it's never too soon to start thinking about Halloween costumes

An update on the Shoppes at Red Square... So the Blockbuster closed here along East Houston back in the spring... then the Sleepy's next door moved into the Blockbuster space ... now, signs appeared last week for the new (seasonal?) business coming to the former Sleepy's space...

The store opens in September... Meanwhile.

I took these photos Saturday night along Avenue A a look at the Halloween City website to see what they sold ...

And — woo! Queen Amidala! Let me join your alliance to free Naboo from the Trade Federation...

... and because someone will bring it up...

Any other thoughts on hot Halloween costumes for 2012?

Halloween costumes ALREADY?!!

NOOOOOOO!!!

I hate when signs of summer winding down start happening!! Why can't they just wait until the end of August to start advertising this stuff? And that goes for the crappy Back to School ads too!! Summer went by too fast. I don't want it to get cold again!!!! NOOOOOO!!!

A Michael Bloomberg mask with a large ax embedded in the skull section. A Ben Shaoul full-body costume with a large knife sticking out of the back. Graham and Gregory Jones outfits (including that "Master of the Universe" blue shirt/yellow tie combo) embellished with tasteful nooses to be worn around the neck. Those'd be my top three suggestions.

Gojira = NICE one!

And your Grevious-ness, I'd bet you would look simply smashing in that last one.....or that third one.....first one?

Well, you'd looked smashed in anything you'd choose.....
and look what a head's up you've got, 'cuz I KNOW we don't take these decisions LIGHTLY around here!

@DrBop

Well, if it's going to be a chilly Halloween... then I may opt to be Chewie. But I'm leaving Han behind (bad drunk — and always bitching about Jabba...)
