Heard there's a bulge in the school wall between the school and the church and that it's been there for awhile but engineers said it could be hazardous when demolition and construction start on the church.

Interesting. I have a good view of the space between the church and school from my apartment. I took a good look this morning and didn't see anything strange.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into a year of construction. If that happens I might have to leave my beloved 12th St.

The DOB issued Full Vacate Orders for the school ... as well as the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church next door... and the former Mary Help of Christians school on East 11th Street. Both buildings were vacant now anyway.

The timing on this, just as the church, rectory and parking lot were sold, is highly suspicious. Bet they use this as an excuse to shut the whole school down, demolish it, add it to the air rights and build an even bigger monstrosity.
