95 E. 3rd St., former home of the Edge, is for rent

The for rent signs are up now here between First Avenue and Second Avenue... can't recall seeing this broker around here before — Green Pond Real Estate (based in Clifton, N.J.) ...

We didn't spot any listing yet for the space, which is 1,300 square feet on the ground floor with another 650 square feet in the basement.

The neighborhood bar the Edge closed here in late September after 29 years in business.

Why alert realtors that this space is for rent? You're only contributing to the whitewashing of the neighborhood's culture mentioning the space is for rent.

Hey a 29 year old bar closed, so let's help the greedy asshole who drove it out find a new tenant.

@anon 11:43, don't worry, son - the amount of empty storefronts that there are currently around here is astounding, they have plenty of competition and anyone reading this already knows these places exist on every block. It's a disaster around here.

Son? I'm most likely older than you, son. Yeah no shit it's a disaster around here, so why contribute to it? Why advertise that the space The Edge was priced out of is for rent to make the greedy dick landlord more money than what The Edge could afford? Yeah someone will move in but no need to help with the move. If this dick wants to rent out his space, let him post an ad on Craigslist and/or have his realtor shop the space. He should NOT be given a free advertisement (if you're gonna bemoan longtime neighborhood places which contributed to what the neighborhood was like The Edge being driven out.)
