We heard from a reader the other day that Thai Terminal on East 12th Street was mysteriously closed... don't know if this sign has been up the whole time... anyway, it notes that a gas problem has kept the restaurant between First Avenue and Second Avenue from opening.
Hopefully this problem won't linger as it did for East Village Thai on East Seventh Street.

They better re-open, I love their tofu pad Thai!
I called almost two weeks ago to order lunch, and their outgoing phone message said they were closed for a few days because of some issue. I hope they reopen soon. I love their food!

There's nothing worse than eating in a restaurant where the chef has a gas problem. He might try avoiding milk and beans.
Sad to say, and perhaps I am being a bit presumptuous, but it looks as if another one bites the dust. Cafetasia, for example, an Asian restaurant on 8th Street, between University and Greene, just closed after nine years of business. They were a staple of the neighborhood. Here one day. Gone the next. It is just like having a friend, relative, partner, and job, that you always expect to stay intact, around forever, yet falls apart, away from your grasp, never to be had or seen again. Life is arduous and unexplainable. Thai Terminal did have amazing peanut sauce though, but dry chicken satay. They also had a fantastic Panang Curry with Chicken. RIP.
We haven't had gas in my building since Thanksgiving... Con Ed and landlord are no help whatsoever. We've complained to every local politician there is...
I first noticed that sign maybe 10 days ago. I hope they get it figured out!
