The trees are arriving today outside the St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery on Second Avenue at 10th Street... these 50 footers extra tall ones are out first... this stand is run by Tree Riders NYC, who also offer cargo-bike delivery service...
Updated 5:15 p.m.
EVG regular Lola Sāenz shared these photos... more trees on the scene...
...some smaller ones too...

Merry dead tree fest! Bring home a dead tree, watch it rot in your apartment for 2 weeks then drag it onto the curb leaving fallen needles all over the hall, elevator and lobby (which you fail to clean up.)
$280 for a tree I was quoted last night. Tired of these guys coming in and ripping us off and then leaving a mess behind. They were laughing at how much they were making in front of me and my daughter.
10.50 EZ Pass toll + 6 gas + 80 tree + 10 tip = 106.50 total (+ 50 van rental if you don't have a vehicle big enough to fit a tree = 156.50 total - 6 gas included with the van rental = 150.50 total, 10.50 above half the price of that tree I hope you didn't buy for 280.)
'Got a neighbor or two who wants to buy a tree? 'Bring 'em along and split the total cost two or three ways. Bring a thermos of hot chocolate and some mugs. Make it an annual ritual.

$280 for a tree?
Buy a tree in Hoboken or Jersey City.
