Slice shockers: 2 Bros. blows up the $1 pizza model

Unveiled on St. Mark's Place — the $1.50 "supreme slice" ... at the 2 Bros. Plus location at No. 36 ... not available at No. 32, which just sells the regular old $1 slices.

Side-by-side taste test coming soon.

Oh, and in other 2 Bros. news, they are opening a location in the Bronx this October, according to their Facebook page ...

eat-around pizza in central italy (where's good) is sold by weight, in portions as large or as small as you like, tipically from rectangular shaped large pizzas. there's no such thing as the fixed-size, circular-sector shaped slice so dear to newyorkers.

I once bought a slice there...call it youthful ignorance or whatever you wish. It was about 1/8" thick and absolutely tasteless. Of course, that didn't deter the 12 Year Olds standing on line outside.

Since mozzarella cheese is the most costly ingredient in a pizza I would guess that another "cheese" product is being substituted.

Alberto: Pie on 4th ave sells pizza by the pound in case you were curious.

Anon: Most cheap pizza places do not use mozz, sadly.
