CityMD Urgent Care center coming to The Jefferson's retail space on East 14th Street

The Jefferson's retail space at 216 E. 14th St. near Third Avenue had been used to sell "21st Century living in the heart of Olde New York."

The 82-unit building in the North West East Village is all sold out of course… and work permits for storefront show that a CityMD Urgent Care center will be housed here. The quickly expanding CityMD practice has more than 30 locations in NYC and Long Island.

Meanwhile, we wonder what happened to The Jefferson model from the sales center… we were doing a low-budget "Godzilla" shoot and needed some props…

A reflection of today's instant gratification culture and generation. Even health care has to be instant. Nurses are patronizing and just confirms on what ailment you may think you have. Plus they don't listen, just nods their head and say, 'yeah, uh-huh, ok.". You might as well go to a psychic reader and have a better assessment.

Anon 5.38, stop making everything about the "culture" or "generation." When I was without insurance last year and accidentally cut off the tip of my thumb, and couldn't stop the bleeding for 3 days, I finally went to City MD and was charged $125 there, after being treated by an MD. Do you know how much a hospital ER would have cost me, as an uninsured patient? And do you really want people clogging up ERs with issues such as this? Oh wait, sorry, I should have gone to a psychic.

"Even health care has to be instant"...yeah, in some cases it does (an ER is a good example but in other cases places like City MD are more appropriate and actually don't clog up ER's). ANYWAY, I have used the City MD on 14th St. near 6th Ave. and found it to be very clean, efficient, and I received good care.
