I have a feeling that this Lionwas once part of a push-alongtoy. Maybe including a handle to push/hold the child up and wheels to aid its movement.

I sure would; I always want to prevent stuffed animals found on the street from becoming a trucker's "grill pet."
Be careful! Stuffed lions have been known to stalk and attack domestic stuffed animals. This guy can gorge itself and eat up to six lbs of stuffing in one sitting!
