The art car — titled Painting the Dodge, 20 years in the making — is the work of East Village-based artist Hanne "H7L" Lauridsen.

Turns out that the car is off soon to Art Car World, an Arizona-based museum "dedicated entirely to the celebration and preservation of this popular mobile art form."

I can't remember a time when I didn't see this cute car around the neighborhood. I will miss it!
She also has a silver car, I believe, with animalistic-looking figures on it in a very strange material. Always wanted to ask her how she did that!
This car has been around for at least 20 years, it is a stand out. Can't believe it's still running!

To those asking about the silver "sister" car, Hanne created it as a tribute to her dog, who died earlier this year. That car will remain on 11th Street in front of her studio for your enjoyment.
