Juice Vitality coming to 1st Avenue

The coming soon sign is up at 192 First Ave., where Juice Vitality (JV) is next up to take the storefront here between East 11th Street and East 12th Street.

The signage notes that they will serve and sell smoothies, fresh juice and bubble tea, all of which are in ample supply in the neighborhood.

Previous tenant Medina Deli moved around the corner in October to the former Reciprocal Skateboard space on East 11th Street.

Haven't people found out that this crap is just sugar water?

The Masses Are Asses.
Stupid to build your business on a fad anyway.
Unless you're a stalwart with a solid menu like Liquiteria or Juicy Lucy, you ain't gonna last.

As a Type 1 diabetic, I've always wondered why people think juice is good for anything besides raising blood sugar.

Juice and "juicing" might be an obnoxious trend deserving of a face punch, but it's far from being equivalent to sugar water. In my experience it's mostly overweights who like to bang that silly drum.

I still think eating the vegetables in those drinks is better for you than sucking through a straw. The worst part for me is looking at young adults always caring an overpriced cup of coffee or $12 juice drink everywhere they go like that is suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable?

Juicing is so tired. The health nuts are aware that this is just beet and carrot sugar with all fiber removed. I get that drinking your vegetables is easier/more efficient than pounding down three cups of spinach, but all the good "juice" places are basically smoothie shops at this point. I still like a bitter green juice on occasion but I don't pretend like it's a meal substitute when all of the fiber has been removed.

Man! This blog is nothing but a bitter bunch of jackasses. How can someone be hatin' on juice and calling it stupid. It's healthy and getting the purest form of nutrients possible. Many prevent cancer and a myriad of other human deficiencies. To call it sugar water without trying is just assinine, as most of the juices or smoothies are certainly not sweet in any fashion.
