Fifty years ago, Gregory Peck was the epitome of integrity as a small town sheriff in "I Walk the Line," or as we should say in this context, "I Walk the Lane." His wife, played by Estelle Parsons, thinks that he should run for higher office, mayor maybe, or even governor. But when he starts coming home later than usual, she knows that something is up. (The wife always knows.) Should he clean up his act, and fulfill the longstanding trust that the people have in him, or throw all that away and run off with Tuesday Weld?
