The free concerts commemorating the 33rd anniversary of the Tompkins Square Police Riot of Aug. 6, 1988 are happening this weekend.

Here are the lineups for the afternoon shows (set to start at 2 and end at 6):

Saturday:

• Val Kinzler
• Les Bicyclettes Blanches
• Skitzopolis
• Jezo Black + The Element
• Sea Monster
• SEWAGE

Sunday:

There will also be a number of guest speakers on both days.

The NIHILISTICS! They worked that little PA and fucking slaughtered all before them a couple years ago in tompkins....as they've been doing it for a long time!

Val Kinzler is putting on a killer show in TSP. She has great song-writing chops and WOW she can really belt out her rock and blues songs. Terrific singer and super-cool long-time East Villager who also promotes other women singer/songwriters with her "Women Who Rock" shows.

At the show. Glad they are back but was just informed that the vaccine “suicide shot” has already killed 12,000 people. If I ever die it’s because I got one.

Of course we all have nostalgic memories of the glory days of neighborhood revolt, and all the million, billion, zillion times we got handcuffed and taken down to Central Booking. But as far as music goes, I would rather ditch a few of the "historic" bands, and listen to three young women who I'm sure were not even born in the 1980s! This song is for them, the seekers of today.

There's a new band somewhere,
Hello Mary is their name;
Helena, Stella, and Mikaela
Long will be their fame,
You can search the whole world over,
But no matter where you go,
You know there'll never be another trio.

No one is totally lost now,
If they can find their way,
And let us catch their new light,
Forever and a day,
You can search the whole world over,
But no matter where you go,
You know there'll never be another trio.

It's a long, long journey,
But hopeful by their side,
When you walk through the storm,
Let them be your guide, be your guide;
You can search the whole world over,
But no matter where you go,
You know there'll never be another trio.

How about lots of bands and anti-political speakers

"The world's population is gradually dividing into two types--
Anarchists and criminals."

Benjamin R Tucker

So what are you punk?

A or C?
