Someone placed free handmade scarves in Tompkins Square Park

Goggla spotted these this morning by the entrance on Avenue B at East Eighth Street...

The tags on the scarves read:

I am not LOST!
I was made with you in mind.
I am yours to keep.
Stay warm with my hugs!

So much better an idea than Santa Con. Thanks to this kind person.

Leaving warm scarves with a sweet note - thank you to whoever took the time & effort to do something good on this cold morning! We could use more people like you!

That's really sweet.

Take them and give to the homeless in the park!

I love this idea and intend to copycat craft it. Thank you to the person who did this!

Oooo:
Everybody make art and hang it from the fence with a "take me home" sign on it!!!
Any particular side of the park we should hang it on? Ideas, people?

God bless whoever did this. Wish I could knit, I would emulate their kind actions...

What a nice thing to do. I hope the scarves were taken by people who need them.

Doesn't take much to learn, crochet is the easiest for scarves, check out some turotials on YouTube ^_^

This warmed my heart so much! I hope the person that did this gets to see them getting worn and loved by people in the neighborhood.

Have these been tested for anthrax? Or bedbugs? Cause they're nice-looking, but ...

Oh sure, when I wrote that they might be laced with small pox, that comment goes to the trash, but when CHurt writes that it might have anthrax, that gets posted. I guess some toxins are favored over others.

Small Pox must have tripped the sensors!

Cool! Socks are a good idea too, I can not knit, but I am a great bargain hunter. I love that someone did this, I am a warm and fuzzy .
