The NYPL branch at 135 Second Ave. between St. Mark's Place and Ninth Street reopened this morning at 11.
The branch had been closed since last August so that workers could install a new fire alarm and life-safety system.
Ottendorfer is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Find a list of their free monthly events at this link.

Can't be much left here - they took out most of the books a few years back and now all the DVDs have been "centralized" - they claim because there is less use of DVDs they need to remove them from the libraries.
Yay! This is where I met my sexy husband a few years back when he was rushing out of the door. Great memories. Welcome back to the hood :)
Hooray! I missed it so. And there were always DVDs available...
