A friend of Via Della Pace owners Giovanni Bartocci and Marco Ventura launched a crowdfunding campaign yesterday to help the restaurant reopen after the three-alarm fire on Feb. 10 severely damaged the space at 48 E. Seventh St. near Second Avenue.
Per the campaign:
We all know how difficult it is to survive in NYC these days, let alone having to deal with such devastation. Giovanni and Marco as well as their amazing team of employees, friends and family, have supported their community for so long. It's time for us to come together and lend a helping hand for them now. Let's help them rebuild!
There's a fundraising goal of $25,000. Find the info here.

What about the tenants who lost everything?
Tenants can start their own crowdfunding? One doesn't prevent the other.
How did they support the "community" for so long exactly? Was the food there free?
Anyway, wish them success in reopening.
Okay, I see they have "a non-for-profit which has raised money for social activities for the community as well as many charitable organizations", that explains it then. But why does it called Lazio Club? Hope not after the same named football club...
On top of Insurance, they want a community to crowdfund their opening. And most likely their crowd funding will "crowd out" attention for those people who live above them especially people who could barely afford to live in this nabe?
Great food, great people, brought so much fun and enjoyment to the block.
Please come back.
Forza Lazio.
