Today in photos of a possibly abandoned stuffed lion on St. Mark's Place

Between First Avenue and Second Avenue... no word just yet what the lion used to be attached to... but we're on it, at least until lunch...

I have a feeling that this Lion
was once part of a push-along
toy. Maybe including a handle
to push/hold the child up and
wheels to aid its movement.

Perhaps it was a "rocking" lion that got too old to rock?

You're never too old to rock!

That's not a stuffed lion, it's a new Japanese micro restaurant called Roar Roar Yum Yum. They serve pickled chunks of gazelle in a bloody paper bag for $125. The Serengeti-to-table trend is here!

1:27 is right! and that is a super-cute lion; hope someone lucky gets to take him home!

I sure would; I always want to prevent stuffed animals found on the street from becoming a trucker's "grill pet."

Be careful! Stuffed lions have been known to stalk and attack domestic stuffed animals. This guy can gorge itself and eat up to six lbs of stuffing in one sitting!

Scuba Diva I agree with you. Soo cute.

But does the lion sleep tonight? Seriously, I would never take anything stuffed or upholstered from the street, because, BUGS??
