Noted

A scene that Matt Rosen came across last night at East 13th Street. Per Neighborhoodr:

I crossed 4th Avenue and for some reason turned around only to see her sit down where she had been standing, and then proceed to lay down right there on the sidewalk. Next to a pile of trash. In the rain. In a mini skirt.

I walked back to see if she was okay. She was lucid. I said something like “Don’t be an asshole. Get up.” Nope. All good.

If she can find her way to the 90 drinks she had she can find the phone in her purse. He's not her babysitter. I'm SICK of people like her who act as though they own the East Village on the weekend, behave like animals. squat and piss on my building, eat food on my stoop and leave it behind, or use my vestibule to smoke pot. This isn't a theme park

Is that her butt crack in the picture? I think thats a 911 situation, despite the fact that she's an asshole, she made herself sooo vulnerable that she can get herself really hurt...but how about a 911 call, an ambulance, and a subsequent charge for public intoxication and a 'desk appearance ticket'...Let her go to court and deal with it...Maybe that person will be more responsible next time...

I have lived with and in the increasingly idiotic world of the EV for a long time now, but really, even so, the right call would be to 911. (This happens to be pretty near to my place.)

Maybe you could pin a little note to her jacket explaining the evils of drink as they haul her into the ambulance.

Meantime where are the police and/or the NYU security team on this... frownie face!

My friend came across a mega drunk girl in midtown. The girl was out of control. She tried to help her, but the drunk girl started to get abusive. When my friend flagged down a cop, he didn't want to get involved! Can you believe that? Why not just take her in for public intoxication for her own protection? Maybe it happens so often now the cops don't want to be bothered. I mean, they could make dozens of arrests for this in the East Village every night of the weekend.

Cops don't want to know. They only deal with these way too drunk, stumbling assholes if they absolutely HAVE to. Otherwise, they look the other way. Too much work, dude.
