Bibi Wine Bar is now open on East 4th Street
Yes, like the headline says. Bibi Wine Bar is now open at 211 E. Fourth St. between Avenue A and Avenue B… The Bar, in the former JujoMukti Tea Lounge (how did they get a liquor license?), is via the owners of the 8th Street Winecellar.
Per the chalkboard sign out front, they are featuring a "don't worry Bibi happy" happy hour.
We haven't heard anything about the place just yet … but there are some enthusiastic reviews on Yelp.

Ugh.
Ignore previous anon comment. Just too early.
Awesome! More alcohol in the neighborhood!
Bibi? That sounds like a name for a preschool.
We went there for happy hour on Friday. It's quiet and lovely. $20 bottles at happy hour. We sampled the candied nuts and olives which were great. They offer other light bites. I'll go back.
As a long time patron of the the 8th Street Wine Bar, the East Village is in for a real treat. It's my go to place when I want to hang out with people who really care about me and make me feel like I always have a place to go and feel welcome. Great place to meet people in the neighborhood. Community atmosphere.
Bonnie is the best! The people who own, work, and frequent either place are community minded. Neighborly love.
I was very scared about this as I have a window nearby, but so far they've been good neighbors as far as noise - it seems calm. Will stop by soon.
Walked by the other night, really great looking space. Will check it out soon.
